Principal
Ebonie Lewis
Principal Ebonie Lewis attended Dallas ISD schools from elementary to middle school. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science from California State University, Fresno and her Masters in Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Her strong instructional background coupled with leadership experience made her the ideal leader to lead Buckner Terrace Montessori.
Lewis was first introduced to education as an afterschool site coordinator with Fresno Unified School District. She is in her 20th year in education and has served Dallas ISD schools and families for the last 10 years. She joined Dallas ISD as a teacher at Balch Springs Middle School in 2014. After one year, she was promoted to Campus Instructional Coach at Martha Turner Reilly Elementary. After serving as a CIC for six years, she was then promoted to District Instructional Lead coach for ACE. In addition to instructional coaching, she also spent two years writing Reading Language Arts curriculum for the district. She has also served the West Dallas community as the Assistant Principal at West Dallas STEM School.
Prior to coming to Dallas ISD, she served as a Reading Language Arts teacher, spanning grades 5th-8th grade in Garland ISD and Cedar Hill ISD collectively for 8 years. Lewis was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is the oldest of three and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She currently lives in Cedar Hill and is the proud mother of two daughters.
